Drought v1.0 Flood v0.0 Cloud Pilot access

The demonstrator is the Interactive Solution Room in working form: the models and data of the Digital Twin, opened up through AI agents, so that a storyline is explored in dialogue rather than read off a chart.

Two example storylines are set up. The drought example runs at the Selhausen site south of Jülich, daily from 2010 to 2020, through soil water, irrigation, crop yield and farm economics. The flood example covers the July 2021 event in the Münstereifel setup, from weather and river discharge to flood depth. The drought example is the more complete of the two; the flood workflow is still being validated.

The demonstrator runs in the cloud and is opened to partners step by step; a first pilot access is being set up with one partner, and further requests are welcome.

Syntheses and workshop reports

DE Draft in review

Synthesis of the first stakeholder workshop

Bergheim, 29 September 2026. What 25 participants took from the demonstrator, what the three storyline groups worked out, and the next steps. Written in German.

The synthesis is a draft in review with the participants. Until their comments are in it stays with the partner institutions and the workshop participants, and it moves to this page once the document is settled.

In preparation

Two more outputs are on the way: publications from the project itself, and an entry point to the data and software behind the Digital Twin. The literature the project builds on already sits under Resources.
